Nigerian rapper Konga was in an interview with Goldmyne TV recently where he spoke on a lot of things including the way Wande Coal neglected him after he (Kong) introduced him (Wande Coal) to Don Jazzy and he (Wande Coal) became successful. He also alerted that Don Jazzy himself forgot him, leaving him to struggle all the way up alone.
The rapper narrated how God used him as an instrument towards Wande Coal’s success in the music world. He hinted at how he helped introduce Wande Coal to D’banj and Don Jazzy. Expressing his grievances to Goldmyne TV, he said;
“I remember I was performing somewhere when Wande Coal stepped up to me and was like AHH BABA YOUR BOY DEY HERE, BABA WETIN DEY FOR YOUR BOY NA? I was like; OKAY, FOLLOW ME. I took him to Don Jazzy and told D’banj to just listen to the boy. D’banj listened, asWande sang OLOLUFE. After one or two verses, Don Jazzy was like; TAKE MY NUMBER AND CALL ME THE NEXT MORNING, and I was like; DON JAZZY NA SO?”
Don Jazzy told me not to worry, that he was going to see me. But after all of that, Don Jazzy, D’banj or even Wande Coal never gave me a call to say; KONGA THANK YOU OO, WE DON MAKE SO MUCH MILLIONS, WE APPRECIATE. They don’t even pick my calls. Not like I’m asking for my share or anything like that. A simple THANKS would do.”
